1:1 Therapy

Limited Spots Available

1:1 ABA therapy is ideal for learners who require support in multiple developmental domains, such as cognitive, communicative, social, emotional, and adaptive functioning.

Although the exact number of hours recommended for your child cannot be determined until after your child is assessed, 1:1 therapy often involves between 9-30 hours of direct treatment per week.

ABA sessions utilize various teaching strategies including verbal behaviour training (VB), discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), self-management, and behaviour skills training (BST) to aid in skill development. These strategies help break down skills that the learner does not have in their repertoire into more teachable components allowing them to be systematically acquired. Additional strategies include Precision Teaching, Direct Instruction, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). During sessions behaviour supports will be utilized to ensure expectations are clear, supports may include but are not limited to: reinforcement systems, visuals, and social stories.

1:1 therapy involves higher intensity level of hours and will include caregiver coaching, supervision, and consultation with other professionals.
