Our Services
At Social Connections we offer a range of therapy services catering to the unique needs of each learner. Choose between parent-mediated therapy, intensive 1:1, or social groups. Each program is offered during various time slots to make sure we are available when you need us most.
Our sole priority is providing high quality services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, however, a formal diagnosis is not required for participation. Applied Behaviour Analysis is an evidence-based treatment that has been proven to be effective for skill acquisition and behaviour reduction for a wide range of populations.
Parent-Mediated Therapy
Following a similar model that is used by the other core clinical service providers such as Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, this model will provide ABA services once a week, and will include caregiver participation and home assignments. Work directly with your BCBA to learn ABA strategies to promote success in all environments.
What is Included when you Join Social Connections
When you enrol your child in Social Connections you will receive a comprehensive package which includes a variety of ABA services. We ensure that you are provided with the highest quality therapy experience by offering the services that make a difference.
Behaviour Skills Assessment
Indirect and direct behaviour analytic assessments will be utilized to determine individualized programming goals for each learner. Assessments will be conducted by an ABA Therapist and verified by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Families will receive a comprehensive assessment report outlining and graphically displaying the results of the assessment and programming that will be targeted during therapy.
Caregiver Consultation and Resources
A caregiver's involvement in ABA therapy is an essential part of treatment success as your child spends most of their time outside of the clinical environment. Caregivers will be provided with resources, homework packages and training opportunities to promote success with their child's development.
Discharge Report & Recommendations
Upon the completion of your child's therapy you will receive a comprehensive discharge report outlining the progress of skill acquisition and future recommendations to continue to support your child's development.
